Riding and Flying in My New Saddle

I had to get a new saddle, as my old one was too narrow for Callie...

She was kept trying to stick her face in the camera. (btw, horse nose slobber is just as hard to see through on glasses as doggy kisses....)
ANYWAY, she was feeling a little frisky today. And a little jumpy. As in she felt so good she decided to buck. (It could have had something to do with the wind getting under her tail loping down the hill while I was leaning forward trying to get her to give me her face...)
So the first thing I knew, I had a facefull of mane. Then I tried to sit up but she bucked again and I decided it was time to get off and start the ride over...So inbetween the second and third buck, I grabbed mane or something and swung my feet over and launched. I was so busy thinking about how I needed to roll out of her way that I kinda forgot to let my feet hit first so I think I landed on my hands, then my face( I didn't realized I hit my face until a couple hours later when the dirt burn on the middle of my nose started to burn a little) and stomach at the same time, but my whole awareness was to roll over and see where she was (mostly her feet...)
She was skidding to a stop with her nose pointed up and the most confused expression on her face. I was up and grabbed her before she even got to think about running away.
We took a deep breath and got back on and started walking circles and trotting circles till the hump came out of her back and we went on and finished moving cattle with no further issues.
Thankfully, I came out of it with a couple minor scrapes and bruises and some stiffness (I"m getting old!!!) And now I sit back a little more when going downhill!!!!

So here is a pic of her after we got done. At least kinda tuckered out :)

So my saddle is a cactus brand ranch cutter saddle that I got from the local leatherman and when I asked him for saddle bags, he tooled them to match my saddle :)

And on a totally different track, here is my sister goofing off ::

And here is my white pony after the snow melted last weekend
I think he's trying to be a palomino with a blaze....
